GACAM’s Undersecretary holds UN responsible for closure of Sanaa Airport

SANAA, Dec. 7 (YPA) – Undersecretary of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology (GACAM) Raed Talib on Saturday held the United Nations and the international community responsible for all the consequences of the blockade and the closure of Sanaa International Airport.

The world celebrates the World Civil Aviation Day, which falls on the 7th of December of each year, while Yemen’s airports are closed due to the siege of the aggression coalition, Talib explained.

He called for pressure on the aggression countries to open Sanaa airport for all civil flights, stressing that the siege and the closure of Sanaa Airport are incompatible with all principles, customs, international laws and the Chicago Agreement.

According to the statistics of the Ministry of Health, 42 thousand patients had died, while more than 300 thousand patients await an unknown fate due to not being allowed to travel for treatment abroad, as well as the suffering of the expatriates who were unable to return to the country due to the closure of Sanaa airport.
