16 thousand liters of smuggled diesel seized in Sanaa

SANAA, Nov. 15 (YPA) – Security forces in Azal district of the capital Sanaa seized large quantities of smuggled diesel on two trucks in the framework of controlling crimes of smuggling that harm the national economy, a security official said on Friday.

The first truck was seized, carrying 9,800 liters, while the second truck was seized loaded with 6,200 liters, according to the official.

Both drivers of the trucks were referred to the competent authorities for legal proceedings, he added.

The official explained that preliminary investigations revealed that the two drivers bought the amount of diesel from Amran province to the capital Sanaa for selling it on the black market.
