UN: Over half of Shabwah residents lack access to clean water

SHABWAH, Nov. 11 (YPA) – The UN Office for International Migration (IOM) has confirmed that 55% of the population of Shabwah province is unable to access to clean and safe drinking water.

In a report, the Office revealed that about half of Shabwah’s population also does not have access to any proper sanitation services.

According to the report, the IOM is rehabilitating seven water points in seven different health facilities to serve 20,000 patients.

Shabwah province suffers from a significant shortage of water and health services, while the Islah party forces who control the province on behalf of the Saudi invaders are exploiting the province’s resources for itself.

Shabwah is the second province in the production of oil after Hadhramaut, yet it does not enjoy any service advantages from its oil revenues.

According to observers, these revenues are reported as going into private accounts at the National Bank of Saudi Arabia, in possession of Hadi government members
