Leader of Yemeni Revolution: President’s assassination will not go unpunished

SANAA, April 23 (YPA) – Leader of Yemeni Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, on Monday said the assassination of President Saleh Al-Sammad and the other crimes committed by Saudi-led coalition against Yemeni people will not go unpunished.

In his speech to Yemeni people, Sayyed Al-Houthi said that the president Al-Sammad was martyred along with six of his escorts when the aggression coalition’s warplanes waged three airstrikes on his convoy in Al-Khamseen Street in the western port city of Hodaida.

Sayyed Al-Houthi affirmed that the aggression forces, led by US and Saudi regime, bear the legal responsibility for committing this terrible crime and all its consequences.

“This crime will not pass without accountability, nor any other atrocious crimes against the Yemeni people, including the crime of targeting a wedding in Bani Qays on Sunday in Hajjah province, which resulted in killing and wounding dozens”, he said.

He noted that this crime will not break the will of the Yemeni people and the state, adding that the sacrifice of the martyred president is an incentive for more giving and steadfastness and strengthening the internal front.

In his speech, Sayyed Al-Houthi expressed his warmest condolences to the martyr’s family and his relatives and to Yemeni people and all institutions of the state.

He called on Yemeni people in all provinces to participate actively in the funeral ceremony of the president Al-Sammad.

Also, he called on the people of Hodeida province to take part in the demonstration called by the martyr Al-Sammad before his death.
