Hadi’s forces control over Ahwar district of Abyan

ABYAN, Oct. 31 (YPA) – Hadi’s forces and Islah Party militants on Thursday took control of Ahwar district in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

According to military sources, forces of the so-called “111th Brigade” loyal to Hadi and Islah managed to control over the district of Ahwar following fierce clashes with the UAE-backed southern transitional council’s militias.

Islah activists posted pictures of the 111th Brigade commander Mohammed Mulham as he was touring with his forces in the capital of Ahwar district.

The transitional council militias pushed military reinforcements during this month towards Abyan in a bid to control over the rest of Abyan’s border districts with Shabwa province, which is under the control of Hadi forces and Islah militia.
