Health Ministry accuses UN of disavowing responsible for Yemeni patients

SANAA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – Minister of Health Taha al-Mutawakel accused United Nations on Saturday of disavowing its responsible for transferring more than 30,000 patients in need of treatment abroad.

Al-Mutawakel said in a press conference that the international community and WHO have pledged to conduct treatment flights abroad from Sanaa airport.

The minister reiterated that the ongoing closure of Sanaa airport by the aggression is a crime against humanity and international laws and conventions, calling the UN to pressure on the aggression states lift the all-out siege on Yemen.

He strongly condemned the manipulation of the pain of Yemeni people by the UN, blaming the WHO for legal and humanitarian responsibility for catastrophic tragedy that killed thousands of citizens as a result of ongoing siege on Yemen.
