Parliament discusses draft law on security personnel legal protection

SANAA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – The Parliament in its meeting chaired by Speaker Yahya Ali al-Ra’i on Saturday started the discussion of the supplementary report on a draft law on the legal protection of security personnel.

In its report, the Joint Committee noted to placing controls and restrictions that include balancing between citizens’ rights and those of security personnel in light of the observations of the parliament members.

The Committee emphasized the reformulation of some of words and phrases of the articles of the draft law to commensurate with the objectives of the draft law.

In this regard, the Parliament approved a request submitted by a number of its members submitted to re-turn the draft law to the Joint Committee in order to complete the existing deficiencies in the report.
