Deputy FM, Head of ICRC mission discuss cooperation areas

SANAA, Oct. 6 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi on Sunday discussed with Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) mission in Sanaa Franz Rauchenstein the areas of cooperation between Yemen and the committee and ways to enhance it.

The meeting dealt with the underway arrangements for the visit of ICRC President Peter Maurer to Yemen.

During the meeting, al-Ezzi reviewed the latest developments in the humanitarian situation in Yemen in light of the aggression and siege imposed on the country for the fifth year in a row.

He touched on the continued holding of oil derivatives ships by Saudi-led aggression coalition, which exacerbated the humanitarian catastrophe and the suffering of citizens.
