Al-Murtada: Saudi-led air strikes hit center for prisoners at Community College in Dhamar

DHAMAR, Sept. 1 (YPA) – The head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs, Abdul Qader al-Murtada on Sunday has said that Saudi-led coalition has bombed one of the jails for the prisoners at the Community College in Dhamar province.

Abdul Qader al-Murtada pointed out that the prison has dozens of prisoners belonging to the enemy. Dead and wounded are reported while many their fate remains unknown and rescue teams were unable to reach the target area because of the intensity of the bombing and its continuity.

He stressed that the prison is known to the Coalition and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and has visited it several times.

Al-Murtada blamed the Saudi-led aggression forces headed by Saudi and Emirati regimes, for this targeting and what it could result from.

He called on international and local organizations to condemn this horrific crime, to go down to the target place and to closely examine it, Pointing out that the Committee for Prisoners Affairs will issue a statement later in the coming hours explaining the details of the crime.
