Yemeni army conducts new drone attacks on King Khalid Air Base in Asir

ASIR, Aug. 24 (YPA) – Yemen’s air forces backed by popular committees on Saturday carried out a major air attacks on the King Khalid air base in Khamis Mushit in Asir.

The Yemeni military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’ein a brief statement said that the air force carried out a large-scale air attack on The King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushit.

He explained that the attack was carried out by a number of Qasef- 2K drones targeting locations of Saudi military aircrafts and runways take-off and landing runways in the airbase.

He confirmed that the attack hit its target with high accuracy, inflicting heavy casualties on the air base.

“This attack came is in response to the crimes of aggression and its continued siege against the Yemeni people,” the armed forces spokesman said.

For its part, Air traffic control centers showed the return of a plane about to land at Abha airport near King Khalid Air Base to take off from Jeddah International Airport.

They explained that an Egyptian Airlines flight carried out several sessions before leaving Abha in conjunction with the attack on King Khalid Air Base.

On Thursday, the air force carried out two attacks using a number of Qasef-2K drones targeting vital targets at King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushit.

The first operation targeted the military communications system, while the other was aimed at tanks and the Fuel station at the base, causing district casualties.
