50 shelter-tents, pumping water for IDP’ camp in Zabid

HODEIDAH, April 17 (YPA) – A committee appointed by the Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Habtoor, Launched on Saturday, its field visit to Hodeidah province to see the work of IDP camp in Zabid district and to touch the needs and requirements of a number of provincial districts.

Minister of Water and Environment Nabil Abdullah Al-Wazeer and Governor Hodeidah Hassan Al-Heej visited the IDP’ camp in Zabid, which will shelter the displaced from Hays district.

Al-Wazeer stressed the need for humanitarian and relief organizations to shoulder their responsibility in touching the needs of the displaced.

He added that international laws guaranteed IDPs the right to secure accommodation and any targeting of IDP’s camp is a flagrant violation of international law.

Fifty tents for displaced families have been set up as a first stage and water has been delivered to the camp through the Local Water Foundation branch, as well as sewage processing and the establishment of separate bathrooms for men and women.
