FM, UN Coordinator review humanitarian activities in Yemen

SANAA, Aug. 18 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Sunday reviewed with United Nations Resident Coordinator in Yemen Lise Grande activities of the UN organizations, programs and agencies in the country aiming to reduce effects of the humanitarian disaster caused by Saudi-UAE aggression.
At the meeting, Sharaf stressed the importance of intensifying humanitarian and relief work, especially in remote areas and places of internally displaced persons.
He renewed the call for reopening Sanaa International Airport to civil and commercial flights to alleviate the suffering of citizens and patients who need to travel abroad for treatment.
