Magnitude 5.2 quake hits southwest Iran

TEHRAN, Aug. 5 (YPA) – An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit an area in Iran’s southwestern province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University announced on Monday.

The center noted that the earthquake was 18 km from the city of Gram, 26 km from the city of Abadan and 31 km from Dehdasht City in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province.

No casualties or damages to property have been reported so far.
