Environmental disaster threatens citizens’ lives in Aden

ADEN, July 31 (YPA) – Environmental experts have warned of an environmental disaster threatening the city of Aden and its sea coasts as a result of the random discharge of sewage into the sea.

Activists on social media websites have posted a picture of a sewage suction truck emptying its cargo on the coast of Abyan in Aden. They confirmed they had seen more than a sewage truck belonging to private companies while unloading their cargo on the roadside in the coast of Abyan.

The environmental experts and activists held Hadi’s government and the concerned authorities responsible for endangering the lives of people and the spread of epidemics and diseases caused by environmental pollution.

The occupied city of Aden witnessed in last May a big environmental disaster due to the mixing of rainwater with sewage and flooded streets with sewage water, resulting in diseases that doctors could not diagnose them and led to the death of more than 18 citizens.
