Report: Expected changes in exiled Hadi’s government and Islah party controls most of cabinet

SANAA, July 15 (YPA) – The Qatari newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed has on Monday citied official sources in the exiled Hadi’s government, revealing that Moin Abdul Malik is holding consultations in Riyadh to bring about changes in the Saudi-led coalition-backed government.

The newspaper said the “ministerial” changes would be announced in the next few days.

These changes are part of a wave of resignation scandals initiated by Khaled Al-Yamani, the foreign minister of the so-called “government” of Hadi, in June.

According to observers, the resignation of Al-Yamani was only a preliminary indication, which opened a wave of conflict in the coalition which has led to a comprehensive series of political career liquidations.

The ensuing conflict has led to some leaders announcing their resignation on the table, such as Major General Mohsen Khasrof.

Observers of the situation in the occupied provinces have suggested that the al-Islah Party (Yemeni branch of the so-called Muslim Brotherhood) and its Saudi allies will likely take the largest share of the expected changes. This is especially because the Emiratis are reportedly realising that they are unable to exclude their opponents from the scene.

However, a number of politicians in the occupied provinces have also reported that Emiratis are still based at the helm of the enormous power of the Security Belt, the Elite Forces and the Giants Brigades, all of which are mercenary forces formed by the UAE occupation.

Many of these armed groups consist of fighters from the southern provinces of Yemen, and are likely to be deployed in order to try and halt the expansion of the al-Islah Party and its militias.
