800,000 AED paid for demonstration against Socotra governor : Activist

SANAA, June 20 (YPA) – Southern media activist Khaled al-Ahroosh revealed on Thursday how much the UAE has paid its militias and agents for organizing a demonstration in Socotra province.

Al-Ahroosh said his Facebook page” 800 thousand AED to take out a demonstration on the Island of Socotra against the governor and minister of fisheries in Hadi government for minutes in order to pressure the governor to hand over the port, airport and governmental offices to the UAE.”

“This is a sad thing. As this money paid by the UAE was supposed to pay for health services and to hungry people,” he added.
