Saudi occupation forces using Apache in bid to subdue Mahrah’s tribes

MAHRAH, June 7 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia occupation forces have stepped up its movements in Mahrah province during the recent period, not only with its forces deployed on multiple areas of the province but also using its Apache to impose its presence by force as a new occupant.

Al-Mahra Post reported that “Saudi Arabia’s using of Apache aimed at terrorizing the people of Mahrah who reject its presence and who have been confronting the Saudi militias since a whole year of peaceful struggle to defend national sovereignty of the proving.

The source revealed considerable pressure exerted by Saudi forces on the so-called the “legitimacy’s units” in the province to accompany the convoys loaded with closed boxes containing ammunition and various types of weapons they distribute to their militia camps in various directorates of Mahrah in order to create chaos, infighting, banditry and attacks on citizens.

According to the source, Saudi Arabia’s moves in recent months were based on a plot of sedition between rival tribes and the Yemeni army in the province, which is committed to neutrality.

“ The wisdom of the tribes and the sense of responsibility in preserving national cohesion and strengthening ties of Yemeni unity have thwarted the rift that Saudi Arabia sought between the tribe and the army,” one of the sources said.

In the same context, Sheikh Ali Salem al-Harizi, former undersecretary of the province praised the role of Yemeni army and Yemeni tribes in preserving national sovereignty.

He further called on all the people of the province to take care and caution against falling into external schemes aimed at destroying the unity and cohesion of Yemenis.
