Iranian top military commander: The US military ships in the Gulf are in a rang of Iranian missiles

SANAA, June 2 (YPA) – Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, a top military aide to the Islamic Revolution leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Sunday that US military ships in the Gulf are in a range of the Iranian missiles.

“The first bullet to be fired in the Persian Gulf will raise oil prices to more than $100, and this will be above the power of America, Europe and America’s allies such as Japan and South Korea,” Safavi was quoted by Reuters as saying.

According to Fars News Agency, Safavi proposed to conclude a non-aggression pact with some countries in the region and form an alliance with others.

Earlier, Iranian President Hassan Rowhani said his country was ready for talks if the other side showed respect and followed international rules, not a negotiating order.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has renewed his country’s readiness to negotiate with the United States on differences over its nuclear program and related US sanctions on a basis of respect.
