#Yemen’s Journalists Union condemns #Saudi airstrikes on residential areas in Sanaa

SANAA, May 17 (YPA) – Yemen’s Journalists Union on Thursday strongly condemned Saudi-led coalition airstrikes on residential areas in the middle of the capital Sanaa, killing six civilians and wounding 71 others, including women and children.

“Targeting residential areas by Saudi-led aggression air strikes on citizens houses in the middle of the capital is “war crime,” the union said in a press statement.

The statement called on the national media to hold the national responsibilities to expose the aggression’s crimes and violations to the world.

It condemned the international human rights organizations’ silence towards the Saudi-led aggression crimes against the Yemeni civilians.

Saudi-led aggression warplanes waged a series of air strikes on residential areas and civilians’ homes in al-Raqas neighborhood in the capital Sanaa on Thursday morning, killing six citizens and wounding more 71 others.
