Yemen’s FM condemns Thursday’s Saudi-led air strikes against citizens in Sanaa

SANAA, May 17 (YPA) – Yemen’s Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Thursday strongly condemned the Saudi-led aggression air strikes against citizens in the capital Sanaa.

In a press statement, the minister affirmed that targeting residential areas, killing citizens and destroying infrastructures are “war crimes and flagrant violation of the international law.”

“The aggression air strikes on the residential areas in the capital comes less than 12 hours after the UN envoy Martin Griffiths’ briefing confirming the national leadership’s commitment with Stockholm agreement,” Sharaf added.

The Minister called on the international community to hold its responsibilities towards the aggression crimes against citizens and ending the military aggression and lifting the total siege on the Yemeni people for maintaining implementation of the Sweden agreement.

On Thursday, Saudi-led aggression warplanes waged a series of air strikes on residential areas in Hail St in the middle of the capital Sanaa, killing and wounding more 58 citizens.
