2,000 food baskets distributed to poor in capital, Hodeidah

SANAA, May 9 (YPA) – “Al-Mawttin” Development Organization on Wednesday began the distribution of 2000 food baskets in the capital Sanaa and the province of Hodeidah.

“The food basket project targets during the holy month of Ramadan poor and displaced families in the capital Sanaa and Hodeidah province,” Samah al-Sobari, head of the organization, told Yemen News Agency (Saba).

Al-Sobari indicated that 650 food baskets were distributed to poor and needy families in Wadi Ahmed area of Bani al-Hareth district.

She added that the organization also distributed 400 food baskets to a number of families affected by the war in Hodeidah to alleviate their suffering in light of the continued aggression and siege.
