37 killed, injured in Mexico bus overturn

SANAA, April 29 (YPA) – At least 11 people, including three minors, were killed and 26 others injured, after a passenger bus overturned in the north-central Mexican state of Zacatecas, local authorities said on Monday.

According to the local authorities, the incident occurred just before dawn, on Federal Highway 49 at the town of Rio Grande.

The bus was traveling from Mexico City to Torreon, in the northern border state of Coahuila, when it overturned at 4:52 a.m. local time (0952 GMT), They added.

It was carrying a group of merchants buying goods for storage in the capital. Among the approximately 40 passengers were five Central Americans with humanitarian visas, official authorities said.
