Hadi hands over security point in Mahra to Saudi Arabia

MAHRA, April 21 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia has put pressure on the exiled Hadi and his government based in Riyadh to issue directives to hand over al-Labib security point in Mahra province to Saudi-funded militias in the province, media sources said on Sunday.

Commander of the so-called “Khalidiya camp forces” near the location and loyal to the Saudi forces confirmed that he received directives from Hadi to take over and supervise the security point, the sources added.

For their part, dozens of tribesmen of Mahra province gathered at the security point, rejecting the efforts of the Saudi forces stationed in the province.

These developments come after the province’s governor Rajeh Bakrit loyal to the Saudi forces announced he was subjected to an assassination attempt at the same security point, which was denied by the tribes, while Saudi forces retaliated through hitting the site with three airstrikes from Saudi Apache helicopters stationed at the local Ghaydha Airport.
