Britain transfers military helicopters to Russian border

SANAA, April 16  (YPA) – The British Ministry of Defense has sent five Apache military helicopters to Estonia as part of the joint defense operation and to counter the possible Russian threat.

Britain has decided to transfer several Apache helicopters to Estonia for defense missions under NATO’s expanded military presence in Eastern Europe, Sky News channel reported.

British Defense Secretary Williamson said the deployment of the helicopters was important and vital. “There is a real threat from Russia, so we will strengthen our air forces at the allies,” he said in a televised statement.
